Abstract

The report of the ICRU #83 establishes the basis for recording and reporting state of the art radiotherapy techniques (suchas IMRT). On that report it is suggested to classify dosimetric reports in three levels, being level 2 the minimum for a highcomplexity treatment. Dosimetric reports are especially important in the case of reirradiations for which it is necessary to knowthe details of the previous treatment for the new plan. On these cases it is extremely useful to have DVH data that details thedose to organs at risk. It is also important to save the data of the histogram for future analysis of groups of patients. In this workwe present an application (freely distributed) that has the built-in capability of creating a report from the DVH data adapted toour needs. The spreadsheet parses the data from a text file exported from the planning system. That text file also allows thedata to be stored for future analysis.
