Abstract

The patient treatment setup is based on radiologic images and this technique has been considered as the reference one for a long time. The patient setup based on Surface Guided Radiotherapy has been implemented in our department comparing this technique with the radiologic technique. The aim of this study is to do a statistical analysis that allows us to compare both techniques and, as a result, to establish our local setup margins in free breathing treatments as well as in DIBH breast treatments. Afterwards, the circumstances under which the surface information could be enough to reduce radiologic images in breast treatment setups have been studied.
