Rastreo del movimiento respiratorio por medio de un sistema óptico

Se ha desarrollado un prototipo de rastreo del movimiento respiratorio de pacientes durante la toma de imágenes tomográficas en la planificación del tratamiento de radioterapia. El sistema se basa en cámaras de vídeo que toman imágenes del paciente y un programa que analiza las imágenes a tiempo real para calcular el movimiento de uno o varios puntos sobre la superficie del paciente. Se ha estudiado la exactitud del rastreo del movimiento y se han comparado los resultados con los de un sistema comercial. Los resultados indican que la exactitud del sistema en la medida de desplazamientos es menor de 1 mm y la exactitud en la respuesta temporal menor de 0.1 s, suficientes para rastrear movimientos respiratorios.
